In 2025, too, the Allgäu herdsmen drove their young cattle back down from the alpine pastures around Haldenwang into the valley. Over 100 cattle paraded into the village on the last Saturday in September, and the Scheidplatz became the center of the festive day. A festival tent, the Haldenwang music band, and Allgäu specialties made the day one of the most important autumn events in the Allgäu.
The 2025 edition of the Viehscheid Haldenwang once again confirmed the festival's firm place in the Oberallgäu alpine tradition. As every year, farmers, herdsmen, and thousands of onlookers gathered in the village — a tradition that continues to be actively maintained in the Allgäu, without tourist staging.
The Raiffeisenbank im Allgäuer Land once again supported the festival together with local clubs. The Haldenwang music band provided the musical accompaniment, and the successful alpine season without losses contributed to the Almabtrieb atmosphere — the decoration of the Kranzkuh is not a given in the Allgäu, but rather an expression of a successful season.
