Review: Verdensballett 2025

In brilliant sunshine, the 2025 edition presented a sophisticated program to an audience of around 1,100 spectators. Eight dancers from the Bundesjugendballett opened the evening with a powerful choreography. Afterwards, international top dancers — including Steven McRae as Principal of the Royal Ballet London — took over the main parts.

On the open-air stage at the Benen-Diken-Hof, the Verdensballett showcased classical and modern ballet, scenes and arias from famous operas, as well as violin solos. The combination of top-tier dance and the North Sea backdrop remained the hallmark of the event in 2025.
