Overview

The 56th Vellberg Wine Fountain Festival took place in 2025 in its established three-day format on the first weekend of July. The ritualized opening by the Herald, the flowing wine from the 1720 Market Fountain, and the nightly illuminated old town once again attracted visitors from the Schwäbisch Hall district and the Heilbronn-Franken region to Vellberg.

Established Format Since 1968

The Vellberg Wine Fountain Festival is one of the rare events that have taken place annually in the same format since 1968 on the same date. In 2025, the ritualized opening, the catering stations, and the evening illumination of the old town once again met with positive visitor response.

This stability — a rare constant in the festival calendar — makes the event a fixed date in the region's summer program. The 57th edition in 2026 will continue the format unchanged, thus preserving the historical profile of this unusual town celebration.
