Edition 2025 — Urban Jazz Festival
In 2025, the Urban Jazz Festival at Birdland Hamburg once again brought together contemporary jazz acts with a crossover character. Two evenings, six bands – from Hamburg, Berlin, and beyond. The intimate atmosphere of the traditional jazz club in Hoheluft-West once again confirmed Birdland as the most important venue for contemporary jazz in the Hanseatic city.
The 2025 edition continued the festival tradition at Birdland Hamburg: two evenings, six bands from Germany and Europe, with a clear focus on contemporary jazz and crossover formats. The intimate atmosphere of the jazz club gave the concerts their special character.
Doors opened at 7:00 PM as usual, with music starting at 8:00 PM. The festival once again affirmed Birdland's significance for the Hamburg jazz scene, beyond the mainstream programs of the Elbphilharmonie.
