The Urban Hike Recklinghausen 2025 was part of the nationwide Urban Series season and brought together hiking enthusiasts from the Ruhr area for a curated city hike. 12 and 25 km distances, curated stops, and a relaxed day atmosphere — the format has established itself as a popular alternative to classic fun runs.
In 2025, Recklinghausen experienced its first Urban Hike from the Urban Series. The response was so positive that a second edition was included in the nationwide program for 2026. The city showed itself from its cultural and nature-oriented side — many participants rediscovered Recklinghausen.
