Edition 2025 — Schiller Day Jena
The University Summer Festival 2025 took place in June in Jena, as is tradition. Three venues (Botanical Garden, Planetarium, Griesbach Garden), a diverse program of DJ sets, live rock, singer-songwriters, and classical music accompanied Schiller Day — the commemoration of Friedrich Schiller's inaugural lecture as a Jena professor in 1789.

In June 2025, the University Summer Festival once again took place across three venues: the Botanical Garden as the main stage with a dance area, the Planetarium for special programs under the starry sky, and the Griesbach Garden for acoustic performances. DJ sets, cover rock, singer-songwriters, and classical music alternated — and in between, a short official tribute to Schiller's 1789 lecture, which has made the festival Schiller Day for decades.
