Overview

The 31st edition of UNIDRAM took place in early November 2025 at the T-Werk and in the Schiffbauergasse cultural quarter. As every year, the festival brought together over 100 artists from visual theatre, performance, music theatre, and object theatre from across Europe in Potsdam.

UNIDRAM 31 — Review 2025

The 31st edition of the UNIDRAM festival once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most important festivals for Independent Theatre in Europe. Over several days in early November 2025, over 100 artists presented their productions at the T-Werk and other venues in the Schiffbauergasse cultural quarter.

The program followed the festival's established line: interdisciplinary visual theatre productions that blend movement, performance, music, and object theatre. Live music played a prominent role again — UNIDRAM is one of the few theatre festivals where stage composition and musical execution are understood as equal elements.

The festival is hosted by the T-Werk (International Theatre and Theatre Education Centre) and supported by the City of Potsdam, the State of Brandenburg, and numerous German and French cultural partners. This institutional anchoring ensures the continuity that has sustained the festival since 1995.
