Umsonst & Draußen Festival Karlstadt

The 31st edition in 2025 continued the long-standing tradition of the Karlstadt Umsonst & Draußen. Three days of curated indie, pop, and alternative festival at Fetenplatz Saupurzel, supported by a volunteer team and the genuine enthusiasm of the organizers.

As every year, visitors came from Karlstadt, the Main-Spessart district, the wider Mainfranken region (Würzburg, Schweinfurt, Marktheidenfeld), but also from Berlin, Hamburg, and southern Germany — the U&D festival community is networked across the region. On stage, the usual mix of German newcomers, established indie bands, and some international acts. After the stage program, the beloved campfire with acoustic sets until the early morning hours. Free admission, family-friendly festival atmosphere, donations welcome.
