Overview

The 5th Ultra-Lauf Cottbus took place in April 2025 — a 63 km trail loop around Cottbus, with start and finish in Kolkwitz. Organizers: LC Cottbus e.V. and mad-chicken-run.de. With the established concept of "Bummel-Start" and main start, limited participant numbers, and a trail loop through the Lusatian forests, the ULC was again one of the fixed dates on the Eastern German ultra scene in 2025.

Ultra-Lauf 2025 in Review

The fifth edition of the Ultra-Lauf Cottbus confirmed the proven format: 63 km trail loop around Cottbus, predominantly forest and sandy paths, moderate inclines, two start groups. Limited to around 90 places, with start and finish in Kolkwitz.

As in previous years, LC Cottbus e.V. and mad-chicken-run.de jointly organized the event. Since its first edition, the race has established itself as a likeable, personal ultra-event in the Eastern German trail scene — no mass start, but a reliably well-managed race.
