Overview

The 2025 Ulmzug took place on Carnival Sunday, traditionally at 1:13 PM in front of Ulm Minster. Around 70 guilds with over 4,000 active jesters paraded through Ulm's Old Town — from Schuhhausgasse via Hafenbad back to Münsterplatz. Thousands of spectators lined the route. The Ulmer Narrenzunft and friendly guilds from Upper Swabia, the Allgäu, and the Black Forest once again preserved the customs of the Swabian-Alemannic Carnival.

Ulmzug 2025

The 2025 edition once again confirmed the Ulmzug's status as one of the most important dates in the Swabian-Alemannic Carnival. In wintery but sunny weather, the Old Town streets filled with thousands of spectators, as jesters in their carved masks and traditional costumes made their way through the city.

Drum orchestras, fanfares, dance groups, and friendly guilds from Memmingen, Biberach, Riedlingen, and Konstanz were once again part of the program. Jester calls echoed through the streets, sweets flew into the audience, and after the parade, the jesters dispersed to the Hocketses in Ulm's breweries and inns.
