In 2025, the Turnierspiele Weißensee still took place at their traditional venue — at the Runneburg. Knights in Tjost, musicians, jugglers, and a medieval market attracted visitors from the district of Sömmerda and the wider region to the historical castle complex. The jousting tournament once again confirmed its status as an important spring event in Thuringia's medieval calendar.
The 2025 edition took place traditionally at the Runneburg. Knights competed in the castle courtyard in Tjost, and encampment groups set up their tents around the complex. Musicians and jugglers entertained the audience between tournament rounds, and the medieval market filled the ramparts. With the fire at the Runneburg in March 2026, this tradition ended for the time being — the move to Gondelteichpark ensures the event continues until the castle complex can be used again.
