Overview
The Turamichele 2025 took place on Augsburg's Rathausplatz and introduced the new format with the Augsburger Puppenkiste for the first time. The puppet staging of the Archangel Michael legend replaced the mechanical tower figure, as the Perlachturm is currently being renovated. The audience responded positively to the new format.
The 2025 edition marked a turning point for the Augsburg family festival: for the first time, the Augsburger Puppenkiste took over the staging of the Turamichele legend because the Perlachturm was out of service due to extensive renovation. 18 live performances over the weekend on the stage at Rathausplatz were broadcast via large screens to all areas of the square. The traditional elements were retained: counting the Archangel's strikes together, the release of peace balloons, and the raffle. Augsburg Marketing drew a clearly positive conclusion, so the format will be continued for 2026.
