Overview

The 2025 Trenck Festival season continued the production by Otto Peisl and Karl Jentsch under the direction of Yvonne Brosch. Eight performances between July and Assumption Day on the Waldmünchen open-air stage, with 300 amateur actors and the traditional riding scene in the campfire light.

Successful Season Before the Transition

The 2025 season ran as usual: high occupancy, well-rehearsed production, the now Europe-famous image of the Pandur campfires on the open-air stage. It was also the penultimate season of the Brosch production, before the last run in 2026 and the transition to Thomas Stammberger in 2027.

Rooted in Waldmünchen

The Trenckverein Waldmünchen e.V. has been supporting the festival voluntarily since the 1950s. Hundreds of families from the city and the district of Cham participate in the productions over several generations – a successful model that has inspired many open-air stages in Bavaria.
