Overview
In 2025, the Trickster Orchestra at Radialsystem tested the format of a multi-day festival series for contemporary postmigrant music. These precursor editions refined the concept, which will be implemented as the first official festival edition with TransTraditionale 2026 – featuring concerts, studio sessions, and discourse rounds at the major Spree-side venue.
In the years preceding 2026, the Trickster Orchestra, in collaboration with Radialsystem, had already explored several concert series and workshops that investigated musical language drawing from global instrumental traditions, improvisation, and contemporary composition. This preparatory work forms the basis for the festival edition declared as the first edition, TransTraditionale 2026.
