Overview

The 2025 Christmas market in Garding took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM — in the market square, St. Christiani Church, the community center, and the cultural center. Pea soup from 11:30 AM, opening with bell ringing at 2 PM, music program from 3 PM, Santa Claus at 5 PM. Free admission.

The 2025 edition followed the market's established format. As every year, the Garding and Mittleres Eiderstedt Business Association opened the Advent season on the peninsula on the Saturday before the 1st Advent — with bell ringing at 2 PM, a music program starting at 3 PM, and Santa Claus's visit at 5 PM.

Regular visitors from St. Peter-Ording, Tönning, and Husum used the market as an Advent kickoff; day-trippers from all over the Nordfriesland district came for the compact, four-hour atmosphere around the late Gothic St. Christiani Church. After the market closed, the traditional "After-Christmas-Market Session" took place at the Lütt Matten pub.
