Edition 2025 — Tonnenabschlagen Prerow
The Tonnenabschlagen Prerow 2025 took place on July 27 and attracted over 3,400 spectators. Christian Becker was crowned Tonnenkönig, Stefan Wendt Stäbenkönig, and Michael Mayer Bodenkönig. The equestrian competition for the barrel was once again the centerpiece of the festival day.
Review of the Tonnenabschlagen 2025
On July 27, 2025, the Baltic Sea resort of Prerow celebrated its Tonnenabschlagen in front of more than 3,400 spectators. The equestrian competitions for the wooden barrel formed the centerpiece of the festival day, framed by a festive parade, music, and folk festival activities.
The royal titles in 2025 went to Christian Becker (Tonnenkönig), Stefan Wendt (Stäbenkönig), and Michael Mayer (Bodenkönig). The festival once again confirmed its status as Prerow's most important traditional event. It will continue on July 26, 2026.
