Review of the Tonnenabschlagen 2025

On July 27, 2025, the Baltic Sea resort of Prerow celebrated its Tonnenabschlagen in front of more than 3,400 spectators. The equestrian competitions for the wooden barrel formed the centerpiece of the festival day, framed by a festive parade, music, and folk festival activities.

The royal titles in 2025 went to Christian Becker (Tonnenkönig), Stefan Wendt (Stäbenkönig), and Michael Mayer (Bodenkönig). The festival once again confirmed its status as Prerow's most important traditional event. It will continue on July 26, 2026.
