Tierparkfest Herzberg (Elster)

In spring 2025, the Tierparkfest Herzberg once again attracted thousands of visitors from across the Elbe-Elster district, Lusatia, and Saxony-Anhalt over the extended May holiday weekend. The Walpurgis Night kicked off on Thursday evening with a live band, and the witches' bonfire burned at the edge of the zoo, creating the typical Brandenburg spring atmosphere.

Throughout the weekend, the classics were present: Nessy roller coaster, Break Dance, bumper cars, and a dozen other rides, plus shooting galleries, lottery sellers, and the inevitable food stalls with bratwurst, Schmalzkuchen (traditional doughnuts), and cotton candy. Two stages featured alternating cover bands, DJs, and small family entertainment acts. Sunday traditionally featured the quieter family format with a petting zoo and children's program in front of the zoo.
