Overview
The Tierpark- und Dahlienfest 2025 took place on the second weekend of September in Gera Zoo and Dahliengarten. Animal baptisms, a competition for the most beautiful dahlia, zookeeper-led tours, and garden tours marked the festival day, bringing families from Gera and the surrounding area to the late summer blooming season of the dahlia collection.
2025 Review
The 2025 season continued the established concept: the zoo opened its enclosures for special tours, and the Dahliengarten invited visitors to a competition and historical tours. Families from Gera, the Greiz district, and the eastern Thuringian region took advantage of the late summer weather for a day outdoors. The dahlia collection was in full bloom and was the main subject of many visitor photos.
