Overview
In 2025, the market town of Thurnau once again hosted its three traditional Kirchweih festivals in the historic centre around the Neptune Fountain.
The Zwiebelaskerwa (second Sunday after Easter), the Hauptkerwa (Sunday after Jakobi), and the Herbstkerwa (Sunday before Gallus) followed the traditional rhythm dictated by the church year's feast days. Numerous market stalls, children's attractions, and an accompanying programme characterised the three Kerwas. The exact details of the 2025 programmes were no longer publicly available at the time of publication.
