The 41st Thuringian Horse Market 2025 once again delighted around 37,000 visitors in Buttstädt. The traditional parade on Friday, the three-day market activities, and the comprehensive festival tent program made the weekend the highlight of the summer calendar in the Sömmerda district.
The 2025 edition continued the market tradition dating back to 1637. Riders, clubs, and decorated floats formed the parade on Friday, and the town transformed into a festival mile for three days. The Horse Market once again confirmed its special place in Thuringian festival culture: a market that has transformed its economic roots into a vibrant Volksfest tradition, bringing together generations of Buttstädt residents and visitors from the Thuringian Basin.
