Bach Weeks 2025 in Review

Around 17,800 visitors experienced the Baroque festival in Thuringia in 2025. Erfurt once again served as one of the central venues: high-caliber concerts took place in St. Mary's Cathedral, Predigerkirche, and Erfurt Theatre. The festival once again presented its proven format: renowned ensembles of early music, young scholarship holders of the Bach Fellowship, and concerts at historic Bach locations.

A highlight in 2025 was the project «The Paths of Bach», which traced Bach's life stages between Wolfenbüttel and Lübeck – a format that will be continued in May 2026 with the French ensemble Pygmalion.
