Edition 2025 — Theatre Festival Marzahn-Hellersdorf
The 26th edition of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Theatre Festival took place in February 2025 in the auditorium of the Otto Nagel Gymnasium, bringing together over 2,000 visitors. The venue operated at over 90 percent capacity. School theatre groups from the district presented productions ranging from classics to original works.
Awards in 2025 included: Sommernacht (Wilhelm von Siemens Gymnasium) for best comedy, Valentin & der Tod (Sartre Gymnasium) for best choreography, The Time Is Fucking Out Of Joint (Mildred Harnack School) as the bravest play. The host Otto Nagel Gymnasium won three awards – for Musterland. Stell dir vor, es ist Krieg… (Here-and-Now Award), Echt Jetzt?! (best ensemble), and Marielle Rotärmel (best performance).
