Kirchzell Theater im Pfarrheim

The 2025 edition of the "Theater im Pfarrheim" theatre series followed the proven format: an annual play, performed on several evenings, supported by a volunteer theatre group under the auspices of the local parish. The parish hall temporarily becomes a theatre hall – rows of chairs, an improvised stage, simple but effective scenery.

In the Bavarian Odenwald, amateur theatre remains one of the most vibrant forms of volunteer culture. Kirchzell demonstrates that even a small market town with just under 2,300 inhabitants can host its own theatre season.
