Overview

The 51st tour of the Irish Folk Festival ran from October 16 to November 22, 2025, through German and Swiss venues — and once again stopped at the Passionskirche in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district of Berlin. As every year, Magnetic Music relied on the proven format: four acts from the Irish folk scene in shorter sets each, followed by a joint session as the highlight. Tickets in three categories between approx. €37 and €47.

The 2025 tour of the Irish Folk Festival once again brought the top of the international Irish Folk scene to Germany and Switzerland. The Berlin venue was the Passionskirche on Marheinekeplatz in Kreuzberg, whose warm wooden acoustics particularly enhance the folk sets. Four acts performed in the classic format: each band for approx. 25–40 minutes, followed by a joint session of all musicians as the highlight of the evening.

As always, the organizer was Magnetic Music GmbH from Reutlingen, which founded the festival in 1974 and has been bringing it on tour annually ever since. With the 51st edition in 2025, the foundation was laid for the 52nd tour in 2026, 'Gold dust in your pocket,' whose Berlin date will take place on November 20, 2026, at the Passionskirche.
