Edition 2025 — Thanksgiving Market Plankstetten
The 29th Thanksgiving Market at Plankstetten Monastery took place on the last weekend of September. As in the previous 28 years, the Benedictines opened their monastery complex to regional exhibitors, artisans, and culinary providers. Monastery products from the bakery, brewery, and organic farm shaped the assortment, while brass band music and a children's program framed the market. Free admission.
Thanksgiving Market 2025
The 29th edition once again attracted a large number of visitors. The monastery grounds were open on both market days, the monastery workshops presented their products, and external artisans complemented the offerings. The monastery brewery and the organic bakery were among the most visited stalls.
Preparation for the 2026 Anniversary
In 2025, preparations began for the 30th anniversary market in 2026 – both in terms of programming (additional special events, concert extensions) and documentation (exhibition on the market's history). The response in 2025 underscored the viability of the monastic-civic festival format for guests from the Upper Palatinate and beyond.
