Tet Festival of the Buddhist Pagoda Lichtenhagen

In February 2025, the Vietnamese community of Rostock celebrated the Tet Festival at the Loc Uyen Pagoda in the Lichtenhagen district. Buddhist devotions and ancestor veneration marked the beginning of the festival day, followed by a cultural program with dragon dances, traditional costume demonstrations, and Vietnamese specialties. As every year, the festival offered a cultural bridge between Vietnam and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and was dedicated to the Year of the Snake in 2025.
