Overview
The 2025 Teschenmarkt took place on the third weekend of Advent in the old town core of Hoyerswerda. As in previous years, the opening by the "Princess", stalls with regional crafts, a stage program, and the festively illuminated castle characterized the festival weekend.
Teschenmarkt 2025
As every year, the costumed "Princess" Ursula Katharina von Teschen opened the market. Over the three days, thousands of visitors thronged around the market square, in the Civic Centre, and at Hoyerswerda Castle. Erzgebirge handicrafts, Lusatian pottery, Sorbian specialties, and the classic mulled wine atmosphere characterized the event. Local choirs and brass bands performed on stage.
