Overview

The premiere of Techno Train took place in 2025 — the unusual format with a pre-party in Ziegeleipark, a work train ride, and a rave in the Burgwaller Grube was a hit. Several hundred guests experienced a unique open-air event in the industrial setting of the former clay extraction landscape in the Oberhavel district.

The organizers Havel Nights / Eric Matthes launched the format as a test in 2025 — and its success immediately led to a second edition in 2026. The mix of industrial monument ambiance (Ziegeleipark Mildenberg is an authentic industrial site of the clay industry), a work train ride through the night landscape, and a pit as a dance floor is unique in Brandenburg.

The format consciously positions itself as an alternative to festivals in the conventional open-air format — smaller, more intimate, with a strong sense of place. Techno Train thus fits into a tradition of rave culture in Spreewald and Uckermark, which has its own icons with locations like Fusion near Lärz.
