Overview

The 2025 edition of the Tänzelfest followed the traditional schedule with festival opening, camp life, the entry of Emperor Maximilian I, a grand parade, and a folk festival. Twelve days of festivities in Kaufbeuren's old town, driven by hundreds of costumed children and the enthusiasm of the entire community.

In 2025, the Tänzelfest once again focused on tradition and children. The Tänzelfestverein Kaufbeuren e.V., as the voluntary organizer, coordinated rehearsals, the parade, camp life, and the folk festival. Tens of thousands of visitors from the Allgäu region and all over Bavaria flocked to the old town during the traditional weekends.

The grand parade, followed by historical dances in the market square, remained the emotional highlight, as in previous years – also due to the special atmosphere created when younger and older generations bring the city's history to life together.
