37th Edition — The Summer of Diaspora Choreographies

In the summer of 2025, Tanz im August continued its curatorial course under Ricardo Carmona: many voices from the global South, dense discourse formats, film series, and festival parties. On the three HAU stages — HAU1, HAU2 (main venue, Hallesches Ufer 34, Kreuzberg), and HAU3 — as well as at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, companies from Brazil, Senegal, Belgium, France, Taiwan, and Berlin presented new works. The Library in August opened its doors as a free reading and meeting space, solidifying the idea of HAU as a dance forum for the entire city. The festival concluded with sold-out performances and a grand closing party.
