Overview

The Day of Upper Palatinate Folk Music 2025 took place, as every year in May, at the Upper Palatinate Open-Air Museum. Around 15 music groups from across the Upper Palatinate performed on six stages spread throughout the museum grounds. The program included Stubenmusi, Tanzlmusi, hammered dulcimer, zither, brass groups, and singers representing the regional folk music tradition.

The 2025 edition once again attracted numerous folk music enthusiasts and families from across the Upper Palatinate and beyond to Neusath-Perschen. The proven format with six stages across the museum grounds proved ideal again in 2025: visitors could stroll, discover new music, sing along, and dance.

As every year, the festival was organized by the Upper Palatinate Folk Music Friends e.V. together with the museum and the Upper Palatinate Regional Heritage Association. The combination of material (farmhouses) and intangible folk culture (music) makes this festival unique in the Bavarian festival landscape.
