Overview

The 13th Day of the Ulm Federal Fortress in 2025 opened selected fortifications of Germany's largest preserved federal fortress in June 2025. Fortress Museum in Fort Oberer Kuhberg open, guided tours, special tours for families, and a day dedicated to Ulm's fortress history.

Looking Back at 2025

The 2025 edition focused on other works within the extensive Ulm Federal Fortress, allowing visitors access to structures that are usually closed throughout the year. The Fortress Museum in Fort Oberer Kuhberg, the concentration camp memorial site, and the guided tours offered by the Friends of the Ulm Federal Fortress Association were very well received. The Fortress Day is one of the most important experience days in Ulm's cultural calendar and raises awareness of the unique military-architectural substance within the city limits between Württemberg and Bavaria.
