Overview

The SWK Open-Air-Kino 2025, as usual, ran for about five weeks at the Krefeld city forest racecourse. With over 800 covered seats and a large beer garden, the cinema was again one of the largest open-air cinemas on the Lower Rhine in 2025.

The SWK Open-Air-Kino 2025 was held, as in previous years, by Krefelder Rennbahn Gastronomie & Dienstleistung GmbH together with SWK Stadtwerke Krefeld at the city forest racecourse. The program and concept remained proven: daily screenings, a mix of summer blockbusters, comedies, family slots, and OmU screenings. The covered seating area and the adjoining beer garden ensured the program continued even with changeable Lower Rhine weather. With over 1,400 seats per screening, the Krefeld Open-Air-Kino was also in 2025 one of the most well-known summer events in the region between Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach.
