Overview

The Summer Opening 2025 continued the established format in Bottrop's city center: ELE Stage at Kirchplatz and Stage at Mensingplatz, three days of live programming with bands, DJ sets, choirs, dance schools, and family offerings. Sunday shopping on June 22nd.

With warm early summer weather, Bottrop's city center was once again reliably filled in 2025. Sparkasse Bottrop and ELE Emscher Lippe Energie remained main partners. The mix of regional acts, larger live bands, and a balanced family program once again proved to be a successful formula — the Summer Opening is one of the most visited city center festivals in NRW.
