Edition 2025 — Summer Market Haithabu
In July 2025, the Summer Market once again transformed the UNESCO World Heritage site of Haithabu into a vibrant Viking market. Four days of craft demonstrations, Viking reenactors, and an authentic marketplace drew visitors from all over Northern Germany and Scandinavia to Busdorf.
The 2025 Summer Market continued the tradition of the Viking market at the Haithabu Viking Museum. Over 50 craftspeople demonstrated their techniques, Viking reenactors populated the outdoor area, and the market on the Haddebyer Noor lake recalled the time when Haithabu was one of Northern Europe's most important trading hubs.
The visitors' response and the success of the 2025 edition confirmed the Summer Market's firm place in the event calendar of the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
