In 2025, the Sommer-Festspiele Schloss Nymphenburg had to take a break from performances. This was due to construction work at the usual festival site. For 2026, an alternative venue in the immediate vicinity has been agreed upon with the Bavarian Palace Department.

The Sommer-Festspiele Schloss Nymphenburg took a break from performances in 2025. Construction work at the usual festival grounds made it impossible to hold the event in its customary form. The team used the break for conceptual preparation of the 2026 edition.

In negotiations with the Bavarian Palace Department, an alternative venue in the immediate vicinity was secured for 2026: the open space at the Rosengarten, with an entrance at the Museum Mensch und Natur. The 2025 break thus served as a transition to the resumption of the festival under changed spatial conditions.
