Overview

The Summer Breeze Open Air 2025 took place in mid-August at the Dinkelsbühl Aeroclub Airfield. Four days with over 100 bands from all metal subgenres, around 45,000 visitors, and the proven camping festival concept. The 2025 edition once again confirmed the festival's status as one of the three major German metal open-airs alongside Wacken and Rock am Ring.

In 2025, the airfield near Dinkelsbühl once again transformed into a metal stronghold for four days. Bands from Sweden, USA, Great Britain, Germany, and many other countries performed on the main stage and side stages — the range spanned from Power Metal and Death Metal to Hardcore and Folk Metal.

The camping concept, the reusable deposit system, and the "LESS TRASH – MORE THRASH" sustainability campaign remained core elements of the festival's brand. The 2025 edition paved the way for the expansion of the lineup in 2026, which was set to become one of the most extensive in the festival's history with over 130 bands.
