Overview

The Suderwicher Martinimarkt in 2025 took place as usual on the first weekend of November, on Saturday, November 8th, and Sunday, November 9th. Around 70 stalls in the historic village center, the St. Martin's procession on Saturday evening, and Sunday shopping characterized the weekend, which is firmly established in the event calendar of Vest Recklinghausen as the start of the pre-Christmas season.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition ran on November 8th and 9th in the usual format: Saturday 2 PM to 8 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM. Again, around 70 stalls lined the central streets of the village center, offering food from crêpes and tarte flambée to smoked fish, along with mulled wine and children's punch.

The traditional St. Martin's procession on Saturday evening around 5 PM, as always, drew hundreds of children with lanterns through the village illuminated at night — one of the most beautiful St. Martin's celebrations in Vest Recklinghausen.
