Overview
The 9th edition of Sturm auf Zons 2025 took place on Pentecost weekend in the historic old town of Zons (Dormagen). Over 200 international reenactors from several European countries, around 50 medieval merchants, a large camp around the city wall, and the spectacular "Assault on the City Wall" reenactment with cannon fire, arrows, and siege ladders characterized the weekend. The city of Dormagen supported the event, which has become a fixed Pentecost date on the Lower Rhine since its first edition in 2017. With the 10th anniversary edition in 2026, the festival will be further expanded — also in terms of space (10,000 m² camp) and program (children's jousting tournament).
