Overview

The Stollberg Christmas Market with Mountain Parade 2025 took place on the 2nd Advent weekend (December 6th–8th). The Winter Village in Marienpark, Christmas shopping between Marienpark and Hauptmarkt, the mountain parade on Saturday, and the Stollen cutting formed the highlights of the Erzgebirge pre-Christmas program.

In 2025 too, the Stollberg Christmas Market attracted thousands of visitors from the Erzgebirgskreis district, Vogtland, and the greater Chemnitz area. The mountain parade of the mining and smelting guilds has been one of the most popular program points for years – the historic uniforms, the mining bands, and the ceremony on the Hauptmarkt tell the centuries-old story of Erzgebirge mining. Mulled wine, Stollen, hand-carved Erzgebirge toys, and the afternoon Santa Claus parade through Herrenstraße rounded off the weekend.
