Overview
The 2025 star procession took place as planned on May 23rd. Three pilgrim groups gathered at the assembly points and proceeded to the Marienquelle in the Härtelwald, where Holy Mass was celebrated.
On May 23rd, 2025, the parish of Maria Himmelfahrt Marpingen organized the annual star procession and Holy Mass on Vow Day. Three pilgrim groups set off from the traditional assembly points starting at 6 p.m. and united at the Marienquelle in the Härtelwald.
Holy Mass was celebrated at the Marienquelle, followed by the distribution of Marian water to take home. A tradition since 1699 — continued unbroken in 2025.

Friday, May 23rd, 2025
- 6:00 PM — Departure of the three pilgrim groups
- 7:30 PM — Holy Mass at the Marienquelle Härtelwald
- 8:30 PM — Marian water and concluding prayers
