Overview

The Starkbierfest 2025 at Nockherberg ran from mid-March to early April, once again celebrating Munich's strong beer season. As every year, the season opened with the famous Politiker-Derbleckn, which was broadcast live on Bayerischer Rundfunk and in the ARD media library. For three weeks, the large festival tent at Nockherberg was filled with Maßkrugs of Paulaner Salvator doppelbock and pork knuckles from the Lechner family's kitchen.

As every year for centuries, Nockherberg transformed into the heart of Munich's strong beer season in spring 2025. During the traditional Politiker-Derbleckn, the cabaret artist in a monk's habit took aim at German and Bavarian political celebrities — a tradition that has been part of Munich's festival culture since the 1970s.

In the large festival tent, Paulaner Salvator was served on tap, the band provided the atmosphere with Bavarian festival music, and in the beer garden under the chestnut trees, on mild spring days, one could enjoy one of Munich's most beautiful beer evenings. The festival remains the undisputed start of Munich's festival season and the original of all strong beer festivals in the city.
