The Stadtfest Gießen 2025 took place from August 15th to 17th in the city center: several open-air stages, sports, culinary delights, club stands, and a family program attracted a six-figure audience as usual. Organizer: Gießen Marketing GmbH. Live music on several open-air stages, club and sports stands, family and children's program in the city center. The mix of students, families from the surrounding area, and day-trippers from the Rhine-Main region made the festival one of the largest folk festivals in Central Hesse again in 2025.

In 2025, the city festival also took place on the traditional third weekend of August. The proven format of live music on several stages, a mile of club stands, a children's area, and a multi-day festival atmosphere in the city center confirmed the festival's reputation as one of the largest in Central Hesse.

Open-air stages, club stands, sports demonstrations, and a family area were spread across Berliner Platz, Seltersweg, Kirchenplatz, and Marktplatz. Free admission. Organizer: Gießen Marketing GmbH.

The proven format has shaped the festival for years and brings audiences from the region as well as from neighboring federal states to the town. The annual edition contributes to Hesse's festival calendar and is supported by local clubs, associations, and volunteers.
