Leonhardsfest 2025 — Review

In 2025, the Stödtlen Leonhardsfest took place on the traditional third weekend of August. The beer tasting and festival beer tapping on Friday evening (with liters at the opening price of €4.80) kicked off the festivities. Over four days, around 10,000 visitors from the Virngrund, Ostalbkreis, and neighboring Bavaria flocked to the festival grounds.

The festival beer Rotochsenfestbier, the roast mutton, and the live music from Virngrund-Musikanten, Aberland Casanovas, Musikverein Röhlingen, and SBS Quintett characterized the event. On Sunday, the traditional festival church service for Saint Leonard, and on Monday evening, the festival finale with fireworks. A down-to-earth Virngrund tradition with a high density of regular guests.
