In 2025, the Spring Market once again opened the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Haithabu for the season's start on the Easter weekend. Over 100 market participants from Germany and neighboring countries, reconstructed Viking houses animated by re-enactors, camp life, and craft demonstrations — the proven format of one of Central Europe's most important Viking markets.
The 2025 edition, like in previous years, attracted around 14,500 visitors. The concept — four days of market over the Easter weekend, combined with camp life in the reconstructed Viking houses and demonstrations of historical craft techniques — has been successful for years and makes the Spring Market a sought-after spring event for Northern Europe's re-enactment scene.
