Since its founding in 1926, FC Ludwigschorgast has shaped the sporting and social life of the community. In 2025, the club prepared for the grand anniversary year 2026, during which its 100th anniversary will be celebrated with a three-day sports festival and an anniversary asparagus dinner.
Over the decades, the club has secured a firm place in the region's festival calendar with its sports, club, and anniversary events – most recently for its 90th anniversary in 2016.
