Edition 2025 — Special Olympics Saarland 2026
No Special Olympics National Games were held in 2025 — the major event runs on a biennial cycle. The previous edition was the National Games 2024 in Hannover, and the next will be the Saarland Games 2026.
The Special Olympics National Games are held every two years. Following Hannover 2024 and preceding Saarland 2026, 2025 was a transition year without National Games. Instead, athletes, clubs, and associations prepared for the Saarland Games 2026. Regional Games and qualifying competitions took place at the state level in several federal states.
