Edition 2025 — Special Olympics Hockey
2025 was a preparation year for the Special Olympics National Games Saarland 2026. Test matches and preparation training sessions were held at the Dr-Otto-Jung Hockeypark Neunkirchen to prepare for the hockey premiere at the National Games.
As hockey is being admitted to the National Games program for the first time in 2026, there was no regular edition in the previous year. Instead, preparation training, selection competitions, and logistical tests were conducted at the Hockeypark Neunkirchen.
