Edition 2025 — HopfenZupferFest Spalt
In 2025, Spalt again celebrated its HopfenZupferFest and historical Saumarkt around the last weekend of August or the first weekend of September. The Historisches Kornhaus hosted the hop-picking competition and the crowning of the Hop Queen, while the traditional Saumarkt took place at the Veit-Haus on Sunday.
The 2025 HopfenZupferFest continued Spalt's hop tradition: on Saturday, hop enthusiasts gathered at the Historisches Kornhaus for the HopfenZupferWettbewerb for the title "Spalter Master of Hop Picking", preceded by the newly crowned Hop Queen. Hop-themed guided hikes, brewery tours, and a children's program rounded off the day.
On Sunday, the historical Saumarkt at the Veit-Haus in Gänsgasse recalled the HopfenBloder-Zeit – with regional delicacies and folk songs. The festival once again confirmed its status as a flagship event of the hop town of Spalt.
