Overview

The 9th edition of the soundance festival berlin took place in June 2025 at DOCK 11 in Prenzlauer Berg. As in previous years, b.arts.u, in co-production with DOCK ART, presented a program featuring joint works by Berlin-based and international dancers, choreographers, musicians, and composers, exploring the intersection of dance, music, and text.

In June 2025, the soundance festival once again invited audiences to DOCK 11 on Kastanienallee 79 for its ninth edition, reaffirming its reputation as a curated, specialized format at the crossroads of dance and music. The 2025 edition focused on preparations for the 2026 jubilee year, bringing a selection of premieres from Berlin's independent scene and international guests to the stage. Improvisational and composed works, analog and electronic sound worlds were presented side by side.

The festival was organized by the non-profit b.arts.u gUG; the venue, as usual, was DOCK 11 in Prenzlauer Berg, in close collaboration with DOCK ART. With the 2025 edition, soundance laid the groundwork for its tenth anniversary edition from June 11th to 14th, 2026.
